Got a sudden inspiration to paint Spiderman. I wanted to put as much as I could into this as if I actually were hired to do a cover or something. This was actually pretty fun in its simple idea and yet time consuming trying to put as much detail in it as possible. Let me know what you think.

11 Second Club - March 2012

Here's my submission into this month's 11 second club competition. Didn't work on it as much as I should've but hopefully the animation still translates. I wasn't a huge fan of the audio this month. It just wasn't as dynamic as I would have liked. Next month I will work harder tho. And give you something better to look at. So the story takes place right after a struggle with a victim escaping into the woods. The main guy we see is just sharing a lesson he learned that he should have just used a gun in the first place. That's about it. Well enjoy...

Samsung Note Sketches

I've been working a few gigs as part of Samsungs marketing campaign. Drawing caricatures of customers on the Galaxy Note at Best Buy in the Gurnee and Milwaukee area over this and last weekend. It's been a pretty interesting adventure. So here are some of the drawings I've done so far. The Note is kinda neat to doodle on maybe to jot an idea down. I've got a few more weekends to work so there may be more to come.

So I finally did another sketchy animation. This time with a little more story of a kid dressed as batman. I'm not great with sound, but its a start. I'm going to keep at it. and try to bring the quality up the more I do. I think I'm going to do next months 11 Second Club to push myself even more. Take a look below and enjoy...

So I wanted to do something traditional watercolor. Didn't work out too well actually... but I did get a shot of the ink drawing before I ruined it. I'm going to try again. Something a little more conceptual tho. Here's a face of a pretty girl tho :)

This is life now

Hey, just figured it's been a while since I've uploaded anything and I'm not a big fan of that. There is a bit of a reason why, tho. I moved back to Illinois. More specifically, up north of Chicago near the border of Wisconsin. Why? Work. I transferred back from Columbus to work at Six Flags again. Kind of a parallel promotion. Same position in the company, just a different park. I loved Columbus, but I think it'll be more of a challenge and I'll be pushed to improve myself. So I'm getting settled in my new apartment and I'll get back to producing artwork soon. So keep an eye on it.

Cameo Lover

Finally, something I can be proud to post, haha. Today's painting is of a woman named Kimbra, an Australian singer I discovered this week. Pretty good music and she caught my eye so I decided to paint her. If you look up "Cameo Lover" by her, you'll see where it came from. Went with a different style than usual and I learned a hell of a lot. It was going to be a caricature but I ended up getting less exaggerated as I went, but I started liking where it was going. So it's not really caricature, but it's not quite a portrait either, so I dont know what to call it. Either way, I enjoyed working on it and I hope you enjoy looking at it.
